Will this crack an unknown password?
No. You must know the password. This tool only removes protection from documents you are entitled to open.
Is the text still selectable afterwards?
No. Pages are rebuilt as high-resolution images, so the unlocked copy looks the same but is not searchable. Run OCR PDF afterwards if you need a text layer.
Do you store the password?
Never. It is used once, in memory, inside your browser tab.
